Ignition off
Disconnect connector F on the rear electronic module (REM).
Check the signal cable. Check for a short-circuit to ground.

For the S80 and S60

Take readings between:
- Rear electronic module (REM) terminal #F10 (#50) and terminal #2 on the connector for the license plate lighting.
