Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information REM-6F51

Condition

The rear electronic module (REM) is grounded when a switch on the tailgate is pushed in.

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the rear electronic module (REM) registers that the switch on the tailgate has been activated for more than 20 seconds.

Substitute Value 

• None.

Possible Source 

• The switch for the tailgate has stuck in the activated position
• Short-circuit to ground in the cable for the tailgate switch.

Fault symptom[s] 

• No locking/unlocking of the tailgate.
