Checking the Cable
If the fault is intermittent, it has been registered previously but is no longer present. Intermittent faults can be caused by interference at start up of the central electronic module (CEM) or may be a different type of fault which occurs on different occasions. The fault is evaluated depending on how it occurs.
Checking the cable and relay
Check the cable between the central electronic module (CEM) and the windshield wiper relay low/high speed (2/90). Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage.
Take readings between:
- Central electronic module (CEM) #C3 (#3) and relay, windshield wipers low/high speed (2/90) #2.
If no fault is found in the signal cable try replacing relay 2/90.
Remedy as necessary.
