Intermittent fault
Check the transmission control module (TCM) and transmission connectors. Check for contact resistance and oxidation according to Contact resistance and oxidation .
Check the cable between control module terminal #b6 (#a66) and transmission connector terminal #c5 (control module side). Check for an intermittent open-circuit according to Open-circuit, intermittent faults .
- Check the circuit for solenoid s5. Switch off the ignition. Disconnect the control module. Measure the resistance between terminals #b6 (#a66) and #a53 (#a53) on the breakout box. The resistance must be 11-15 Ω.
Remedy as necessary.
