Checking the control module
- Ignition off
- The breakout box connected
- Connect the control module.
- Transmission connector c disconnected
- Gear selector in position p.
Check the transmission control module (TCM) by measuring the resistance between terminals #b6 (#a66) and #a53 (#a53) on the breakout box. The resistance must be approximately 9 kΩ.
NOTE:When removing the transmission connector, the control module may store diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) for the gear-shift position sensor, the shift solenoids, the temperature sensor etc.
Try a new control module if the resistance is infinite.
