Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information ECM-9170
Condition
This diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is never stored on its own. Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) ECM-9170 is also stored if the engine control module (ECM) registers that diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) ECM-9150 and ECM-9160 (fault in the throttle position (TP) sensor in the throttle unit, potentiometer 1 and 2) are stored.
Substitute Value
The supply to the damper motor for the electronic throttle unit is shut off. The throttle will set itself in the return position.

- Fault in the throttle position (TP) sensor circuit for the electronic throttle unit.
