Engine Coolant Heater (Diesel Engines Only)
The engine coolant heater is standard on vehicles with diesel engines in certain markets (cold climates). The function is used to add extra heat to the climate control system. The engine coolant heater functions in the same way as the parking heater, although the start conditions are different. The start conditions are controlled by the climate control module (CCM) (3/112).
The difference between the parking and engine coolant heaters is that the engine coolant heater does not have a water pump. Otherwise the only difference is in the software.
