The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) (Signal too high, Signal too low, Signal missing) is stored if the engine control module (ECM) detects that the signal from the air conditioning (A/C) pressure sensor is higher or lower than the normal operating range of the air conditioning (A/C) pressure sensor or that the signal is missing.

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) (Faulty signal) is stored if the engine control module (ECM) detects that the pressure in the air conditioning (A/C) system has not increased for a certain time following activation of the air conditioning (A/C) compressor.

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is diagnosed while the engine is running and while air conditioning (A/C) control is active.

None.

Possible Source

Signal too high

Short-circuit to supply voltage in the signal cable
Open-circuit in the power supply
Open-circuit in the ground lead
Damaged A/C pressure sensor.

Signal too low

Contact resistance in the connector
Short-circuit to ground in the signal cable
Damaged A/C pressure sensor.

Signal missing

Open-circuit in the signal cable
Damaged A/C pressure sensor.

Faulty signal

Damaged A/C pressure sensor
Low pressure in the air conditioning (A/C) system.

Fault symptom[s]

The air conditioning (A/C) system does not operate.
