Checking The Component And Wiring

Check signal cable for an open-circuit and short-circuit to supply voltage.

Take readings between:

• Engine Control Module (ECM) #A63 (#B3) and mass air flow sensor #5.

Check the ground lead. Check for an open-circuit.

Take readings between:

• Engine Control Module (ECM) #A61 (#B1) and mass air flow sensor #3.

Remedy as necessary.

• The air flow reading from the mass air flow (MAF) sensor must be 0 kg/h with the engine switched off and ignition on
