Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information ECM-6760

Condition 

After the engine is switched off the camshaft pulley sets itself in the locked position. When the engine is started again, the engine control module (ECM) checks that the intake camshaft pulley is in the locked position during the start process. The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the engine control module (ECM) detects that the camshaft pulley is not in the locked position during the start process.

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed during the engine start process.

None.

Possible Source 

• Blocked oil ducts for the camshaft reset valve
• Damaged reset valve
• Mechanical fault in the variable valve timing (VVT) unit.

Fault symptom[s] 

• Noise from the belt transmission.
