The value indicates the amperage through the solenoid circuit. Control of the solenoid circuit depends on:

• The gear position selected
• Vehicle speed
• The transmission speed - from the transmission speed sensor
• The engine speed (RPM) and load - from the fuel injection system control module
• Throttle opening
• If the brake pedal is depressed - from the stop (brake) lamp switch
• Transmission temperature
