Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information PHM-0010

Condition 

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) PHM-0010 is stored if the phone module (PHM) registers that there is a short-circuit to ground in the signal to the handset speaker.

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) PHM-0010 can be diagnosed with the ignition on (not key position 3) and when the battery voltage is 9-16 V.

Substitute Value 

• Only hands-free operates.

Possible Source 

• Short-circuit to ground in the wiring (loudspeaker signal) between the handset and the control module.

Fault symptom[s] 

• The carphone handset is not working.
