Front Wheel Hub

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Raise and support vehicle. Remove wheel to be measured.
  2. Remove mounting screws for brake caliper holder. Hang caliper from spring using a wire.
  3. Remove brake disc.
  4. Install bracket included in Measurement Tool Set (999 5418). See Fig 1 .
  5. Install dial indicator in the bracket. See Fig 1 .
  6. Place dial indicator point against hub flange. See Fig 2 .
  7. Rotate hub and note dial indicator run-out. If lateral run-out exceeds specifications, replace hub. See DISC BRAKE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  8. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten brake disc locating pin and brake caliper holder to specifications. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
