Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information

Condition 

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) ECM-6F is stored if the engine speed (RPM) exceeds 2000 RPM, the load signal is above 800 mg/str and the vehicle speed signal is missing for more than 10 seconds.

Substitute Value 

• The maximum engine speed (RPM) is limited
• Initial boost pressure
• No leak diagnostic
• No idle air trim adaptation.

Possible Source 

Faulty signal: 

• Open-circuit in the signal cable
• Short-circuit to ground in the signal cable
• Short-circuit to supply voltage in the signal cable
• Contact resistance and oxidation.

Fault symptom[s] 

• The speedometer does not work
• Malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) lit
• Poor performance
• Too high idling speed
• Too low idling speed.
