Checking the wiring and component
- Ignition off.
Check the signal cable between control module terminal #10 and system relay terminal #2. Check for a short-circuit to ground according to Short-circuit to ground, permanent faults . Check for an open-circuit according to Open-circuit, permanent faults .
HINT: With the ignition on and the system relay disconnected, the voltage between system relay terminal #1 and ground should be approximately 12 V.
Try a new system relay if no fault is found during the above fault-tracing.
Remedy as necessary.
