Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information

Condition

Fig 1: Identifying Boost Pressure Sensor
GLL112003Courtesy of VOLVO CARS OF NORTH AMERICA.

The control module checks the signal from the boost pressure sensor 2 (MAP sensor) if the module has not detected a fault in boost pressure sensor 1 or the mass air flow (MAF) sensor.

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) ECM-0D is stored if the signal from boost pressure sensor 2 (MAP sensor) is lower than a certain limit (signal too low) when the ignition is on but the engine is not running. Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) ECM-0D is also stored if the signal from boost pressure sensor 2 (MAP sensor) is higher than a certain limit (signal too high) when the engine is running.
