Check the DSA control module and engine control module (ECM) connectors for contact resistance and oxidation according to Contact resistance and oxidation .
FENIX 5.1
- Check the cable between the DSA control module terminal 5 and engine control module (ECM) terminal 41 for an intermittent open-circuit according to Open-circuit, intermittent faults . Check for an intermittent short-circuit to ground according to Short-circuit to ground, intermittent faults . Check for an intermittent short-circuit to supply voltage according to Short-circuit to supply voltage, intermittent faults .
- On vehicles with automatic transmission: Also check the cable between engine control module (ECM) terminal 41 and automatic transmission control module (TCM) terminal 38 for an intermittent short-circuit to ground according to Short-circuit to ground, intermittent faults and for an intermittent short-circuit to supply voltage according to Short-circuit to supply voltage, intermittent faults .
EMS 2000
- Check the cable between the DSA control module terminal 5 and engine control module (ECM) terminal 36 for an intermittent open-circuit according to Open-circuit, intermittent faults . Check for an intermittent short-circuit to ground according to Short-circuit to ground, intermittent faults . Check for an intermittent short-circuit to supply voltage according to Short-circuit to supply voltage, intermittent faults .
