Checking the connector for the selector switch

Ignition off.
Check selector switch connector terminals #1 and #4 for contact resistance and oxidation and for loose connections. Remedy Contact resistance and oxidation . Remedy loose connections according to Loose connections (terminals) .
Connect the selector switch.
Ignition on.
Selector switch on.
Connect a voltmeter between selector switch connector terminal #4 and ground.

The voltmeter should read battery voltage when the SET- switch is activated. The voltmeter should read 0 V when the SET- switch is not activated.
