Checking the control module connectors

• Ignition off.
• Check control module terminal #6 for contact resistance and oxidation and for loose connections. Remedy Contact resistance and oxidation . Remedy loose connections according to Loose connections (terminals) .
• Connect the control module.
• Connect the selector switch.
• Connect the Volvo Scan Tool (ST) to the data link connector (DLC).
• Ignition on.

  • Activate the Scan Tool (ST) in MODE 2.
  • Move the ON/OFF switch to the ON position.
  • Activate the SET- switch
  • Check whether response code 1-3-1 is returned.

Is response code 1-3-1 returned? 

• YES

• NO 

  Refer to Replacing the component
