Checking the control module

HINT: After carrying out the repair, check that the fault has been remedied.

• Start the car
• Depress the accelerator pedal (AP) slowly
• Read off the current through the solenoid SLT circuit.

  The current should decrease as the accelerator pedal (AP) is depressed.

Does the current decrease? 

• YES 

  Refer to Fault-tracing information 

• NO 

  Refer to Replacing the control module
