Condition 

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) ECM-43 is stored if the engine control module (ECM) detects an internal fault with knock control.

Substitute Value 

• Ignition retardation
• No knock adaptation
• Initial boost pressure.

Possible Source 

• Defective engine control module (ECM).

Fault symptom[s] 

• Deterioration in performance
• High fuel consumption.
