Checking the wiring and component: Notes
- Ignition off.
Check the intake air temperature (IAT) sensor resistance between terminals #1 and #2 on the boost pressure sensor.
NOTE:The intake air temperature (IAT) sensor is integrated in the boost pressure sensor.
Check the signal cable between engine control module (ECM) terminal #A5 (#A5) and boost pressure sensor terminal #2 for short circuit to ground.
HINT: With the ignition on and the boost pressure sensor connector unplugged, the voltage between terminal #2 and the grounding terminal should be 5 V, measured at the connector. Read off air temperature by clicking on the VCT2000 symbol.
If no errors are found and the fault is permanent, replace the intake air temperature (IAT) sensor.
Remedy as necessary.
