Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information

Condition 

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) UEM-0083 is stored if the rain sensor registers an internal error when carrying out self diagnostics.

Substitute Value 

• Intermittent windshield wipers
• High speed windshield wipers.

Possible Source 

• Defective rain sensor
• The rain sensor is not properly secured to the windshield
• Crack in the windshield by the rain sensor
• Stone chip on the windshield by the rain sensor.

Fault symptom[s] 

• No rain sensor function.
