NOTE:

Bi-fuel cars: The value for certain signals may deviate from the specifications below if gas power is activated.

HINT: Deactivate gas power when checking EMS 2000 signals. 

HINT: All the values given below are measured between the relevant terminal in column 1 and terminal #3, unless otherwise indicated in brackets. 

HINT: The values specified in the table apply with the engine unloaded and at normal operating temperature. 

NOTE:

It is important that the breakout box is connected according to Connecting the breakout box. EMS 2000 , before the readings are taken.

Other values apply if a generic fault-tracing instrument is connected to the data link connector (DLC). The engine control module (ECM) and immobilizer control module communicate with each other for 2 seconds after the ignition is switched on to determine whether engine start should be permitted. After this time, the immobilizer control module changes internally so that the cable is connected to the communication port in the data link connector (DLC) (terminal #7).
