Checking The Cable
- Ignition off
- Disconnect the connector for the rear left-hand treble loudspeaker/upper loudspeaker.
- Disconnect the connector for the rear right-hand treble loudspeaker/upper loudspeaker.
- Disconnect the 16-pin connector for the audio module (AUD).
HINT: Both treble loudspeakers and the right and left-hand rear loudspeakers are connected on the following signal cables.
Check the cable terminals in the female and male sections of the connector. The cable terminals must not be damaged or pressed back.
Check the signal cable between audio module (AUD) terminal #B4 and treble speaker/upper loudspeaker terminal #2 in the rear left. Check for a short-circuit to ground. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage.
Check the signal cable between audio module (AUD) terminal #B12 and treble speaker/upper loudspeaker terminal #1 in the rear left. Check for a short-circuit to ground. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage.
Check the signal cable between audio module (AUD) terminal #B5 and rear right-hand loudspeaker terminal #2. Check for a short-circuit to ground. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage.
Check the signal cable between audio module (AUD) terminal #B13 and the rear right-hand loudspeaker terminal #1. Check for a short-circuit to ground. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage.
Remedy as necessary.
