Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information AFM-0001

The AM/FM tuner module (AFM) continuously monitors the signal from the antenna amplifier.

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the AM/FM tuner module (AFM) registers an open-circuit in the wiring between the antenna amplifier and the control module.

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed when the radio is activated.

Substitute Value 

• None.

Possible Source 

• Open-circuit in the wiring between the antenna amplifier and the AM/FM tuner module (AFM)
• Damaged antenna amplifier
• Contact resistance and/or oxidation.

Fault symptom[s] 

• The radio is not working
• Poor radio reception.
