System description/Design: General

The central locking system is a distributed system. Those parts which are included in the system are:
- rear electronic module (REM)
- central electronic module (CEM)
- driver door module (DDM)
- passenger door module (PDM)
- driver information module (DIM)
- climate control module (CCM)
- upper electronic module (UEM)
- switch for unlocking the fuel tank filler cover
- lock units in doors
- lock motor at the fuel tank filler cover
- lock unit for tailgate/trunk lid.
