• Ignition off.

  Check the communication cable between gear selector control module terminal #2 and transmission control module (TCM) terminal #B31 (#B21). Check for an open-circuit. See Open-circuit, permanent faults .

  Replace the circuit board in the top panel if no fault is found in the cable.

  Remedy as necessary.
