If SWM microprocessor/control unit registers communication faults in serial link between steering wheel module and SWS (steering wheel switches) three times in succession, diagnostic trouble code SWM-000A is displayed.

Substitute Value 

Cruise-control function does not work when engine is running.

Possible Source 

• Communication fault in serial link between steering wheel module and SWS (steering wheel switches) three times in succession.

Fault symptom[s] 

• Cruise control not working at all.
