Checking components and connectors

Check the engine control module (ECM) connector. Check for contact resistance and oxidation.

Check for air leakage in the intake system.

HINT: The fault may be due to a defective engine control module (ECM). The engine control module (ECM) may be defective if the above fault tracing and corrective action does not remedy the fault. 

Remedy as necessary.
