Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) SAS-004B is stored if the control module for the steering wheel angle sensor registers that the signal from the steering wheel angle sensor is faulty.

Substitute Value 

• None.

Possible Source 

• Contact resistance or oxidation in the control module for the steering wheel angle sensor or in the steering wheel module connector.
• Fault in the signal cables between the steering wheel angle sensor and the control module for the steering wheel angle sensor.
• Internal fault in the steering wheel angle sensor.
• Internal fault in the control module.

Fault symptom[s] 

• Anti-spin warning lamp lit.
• No stability function.
