Checking wiring and sensors

Check the wiring between the control module for the steering wheel angle sensor terminal #7 (#A31) and steering wheel module (SWM) terminal #14 (#A14). Check for an open-circuit according to Open-circuit, permanent faults .

Check the wiring between the control module for the steering wheel angle sensor

terminal #9 (terminal (#A33) and steering wheel module (SWM) terminal #12 (terminal #A12)

terminal #8 (terminal (#A32) and steering wheel module (SWM) terminal #7 (terminal #A7)

check for a short-circuit to ground according to Short-circuit to ground, permanent faults . Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage according to Short-circuit to supply voltage. Permanent faults .

Try replacing the steering wheel angle sensor if no fault is found in the wiring.
