Input Signals Audio Module (AUM)
Audio signal from CD changer.
Audio signal and the signal from the TV receiver for displaying the station setting. The sound is reproduced in multi channel mono through all loudspeakers.
Audio signal from RTI unit. Sound reproduced in driver's side door-mounted loudspeaker.
Radio reception FM/AM from antenna in the rear windshield.
Radio reception FM from the sub-antenna in the rear bumper, when the diversity is activated (HU-4XX and upwards).
The central electrical module (CEM) sends the following signals to the audio module (AUM):
- Signal controlling the keypad lighting (depending on sun sensor and rheostat).
- Signal controlling the display lighting (depending on sun sensor and rheostat).
- The vehicle speed controls the telephone system sound level (ASC - Automatic Sound Control).
- In event of a telephone call a signal from the phone module activates the audio system mute function.
- When the phone module is activated the module sends a signal which disables the steering wheel hub keys controlling the audio module.
- Global parameters.
- Signals from VIDA via data link connector (DLC).
