Checking the connectors

Ignition off.
Check connector 54/3 and the connector for the central electronic module (CEM). Check for contact resistance and oxidation. Remedy if necessary.

Check for any damage.

HINT: If the fault cause is found, reinstall the components, connectors etc. If the fault cause is not found, do not reinstall the central electronic module (CEM) before continuing with fault-tracing.
