Checking the component and cable

Ignition off.
Check the cable between central electronic module (CEM) connector terminal #D8 and the ignition switch X-supply (terminal #6). Check for an open-circuit. Check for a short-circuit to ground.

Switch on the ignition. The voltage must be the same as battery voltage if the key is in position I or II.
