Changing The Driving Mode (R Line)

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 9 other vehicles, including the 2009 Volvo S60, 2008 Volvo S60, 2007 Volvo S60, 2006 Volvo S60, and 2005 Volvo S60. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

There are different driving modes in the suspension module (SUM). These driving modes are changed via the keypad (ACTIVE CHASSIS SETTINGS) on the dashboard. Information about the driving mode selected by the driver is transmitted from the control module to the keypad via directly connected cables.

There is a choice of three different driving modes. The control module always remembers the driving mode which was selected last and stores it after each new operating cycle. If the "ADVANCED" program is active when the engine is stopped, the system will start in "SPORT" mode the next time.
