Remote Start
- Turn the ignition key to position O.
- On cars with manual transmission: Remove the ignition key.
Applies to S60/S80
- Remove the seat cushion (1) by pulling up on the cutting edge, pull it forward and remove the seat.
Applies to S60/S80
- Gently lift panel on the front, until the clips (1) release.
- Lift the panel further until the guide pins (2) go out of their holes.
- Pull panel and lay it on the front folded seat backs.

- Close the trunk mat and twist it slightly to get it out of the trunk.

- Remove the trunk carpet.
Applies to S60/S80
- Press the center of the clips at the bottom of the collapsible sidebar on the right side until it audibly.
- Remove the clips.
Applies to S60/S80
- Turn the knob (1) on the right 90°.
- Fold the side panel inwards and lift it out.

- Clean the marked area on the parcel shelf with a wipe and let dry.
- Clean the back of the controller with a baby wipe and let dry.
- A. Remove the protective tape on two of the Velcro straps of the same type
- B. Press the two Velcro strips on the control unit.
- C. Attach the other two Velcro strips on the recently placed there Velcro on the controller and remove the protective tape.
- Place the controller on the parcel shelf as shown and press it firmly.
- Connect the green connector (1) to the controller and pull the lead out to the right on the shelf. Wood bottom line in the existing hole (2) in the parcel shelf.
- Clamp the line at the existing wires with two tools (3) from the kit.
NOTE:
Clamp not attached to the antenna wires.
- Clean the back of the controller with a baby wipe and let dry.
- A. Remove the protective tape on two of the Velcro straps of the same type
- B. Press the two Velcro strips on the control unit.
- C. Attach the other two Velcro strips on the recently placed there Velcro on the controller and remove the protective tape.
- Connect the green connector (1) to the controller.
- Place the controller on the rear of the right air emissions, behind the right rear wheel housing. Press it firmly.
Applies to S60/S80
- Pull the line from the hole in the parcel shelf and behind the right front trunk panel.
- Pull down on the AEM controller along the trailing edge of the right rear wheel well.
- Clamp line along the wheel arch with two tools (1) from the kit.

- Loosen the screw (1) to AEM control unit securing plate.
- Pull the tab over to the right and remove it.

- Lift the AEM controller out of its bracket.
Applies to all
- Disconnect the large connector from the AEM controller by pressing the A latch and pull the black handle on the B direction of the arrow until it audibly.
- Unplug the connector from the AEM controller.
Delete:
- the black locking lid that keeps the black connector in place of the connector by pulling it in direction.
- the black connector by inserting a pointed object into the hole at the other end and push it out.
- Connect the small cable harness from the controller to the AEM controller's connector as follows:
- Red wire to position 1.
- Black wire to position 2.
- Blue/White wire to position 3.
NOTE:
Numeric markings are on the top and bottom of the black connector but are very small, so be careful.
Replace:
- the black connector into the connector and secure it with the locking lid.
- connector in the AEM controller and secure it with the black arm.
- AEM controller in place and clamp up any excess line.
- AEM controller in place and clamp up any excess line. 10 Nm (8 lbf. ft.) .
Applies to S60/S80
- Replace the right side panel in cargo area.
- Put the boot mat.
- Replace panel.
Applies to S60/S80
- Fold back the two backrests.
- Replace the seat cushion.
