Removal & Installation
- Disable air bag system. See AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS article. Make note of radio code if anti-theft radio is installed. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove seat from vehicle. See POWER SEAT . Remove 2 screws attaching control module to seat bracket. Disconnect connector from control module and remove.
- To install, reverse removal procedure. Check that the new control module has part number 9174904 (for the left seat) or 9174905 (for the right seat). New control module must be programmed with positions for memory functions 1, 2 and 3. Diagnostic trouble codes 323, 322 or 321 may set.
