Checking the control module connector

Expose and disconnect the connector from the control module.
Check the cable terminals in both the female and male halves of the connector.
NOTE: The cable terminals must not be damaged or pressed back.

Install and disconnect the connector from the control module.

Check that the connector locks into the control module.
1. The female and male connector halves are OK. Refer to Checking the voltage in the cable .
2. The male terminal on the connector is defective. Refer to Replacing the component .
3. The female terminal on the connector is defective. Refer to Replacing the component .
