NOTE: This diagnostic trouble code applies only to ABS systems equipped with DSTC.

The side acceleration sensor signals to the ABS control unit the extent of the sideways acceleration of the vehicle. If the control unit registers a faulty signal, diagnostic trouble code ABS-00A2 is set.

Substitute Value

Anti-spin function blocked.
Stabilizing function blocked.

Possible Source

Open circuit in wiring.
The wiring is short-circuited to ground or voltage supply.
Sensor incorrectly fitted.
Defective pressure sensor.
Defective control unit.

Fault symptom[s]

Anti-spin does not work.
Stabilizing function not working.
Anti-spin warning lamp is on.
