Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information SRS-DD01

Condition 

The supplemental restraint system module (SRS) checks communication between the control module and the occupant weight sensor (OWS).

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module registers a communication fault.

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed in ignition positions I, II and III.

Substitute Value 

• Passenger airbag is deactivated.

Possible Source 

• Short-circuit to supply voltage or ground in the signal cable (LIN-bus) or in the connectors between the supplemental restraint system module (SRS) and the occupant weight sensor (OWS).

Fault symptom[s] 

• SRS indicator lamp lit
• PAD lamp lit.
