Seat Does Not Move Up/Down

  1. This procedure assumes that power seat switch is in good working order. Test power seat switch. See POWER SEAT SWITCH  under COMPONENT TESTS. If power seat switch tests okay, go to next step.
  2. Check seat drive status. See SEAT DRIVE STATUS  . If seat drive status is okay, go to next step.
  3. Check height adjuster and adjuster gear sector. If the gear sector is okay, go to next step. If the gear sector is not okay, go to step  5 .
  4. System is operating properly at this time. Check for poor connections or loose terminals. Repair as necessary.
  5. Replace seat height adjuster. See SEAT MOTORS  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
