Checking remote control function.

• Ignition on
• Establish communication with the RTI system by reading off a value in the scrolling values. The display should fold up.
• Interrupt communication with RTI control module.
• Do not switch off ignition.

  Try to switch RTI system off with remote control.

Does the display go out? 

• YES 

  FAULT NOT FOUND:  Troubleshooting has been completed.

• NO 

  Refer to Checking remote control function.

• Replace batteries in remote control.
• Ignition on
• Establish communication with the RTI system by reading off a value in the scrolling values. The display should fold up.
• Interrupt communication with RTI control module.
• Do not switch off ignition.

  Try to switch RTI system off with remote control.

  If the RTI system can be switched off by the remote control, the fault was due to the batteries.

Does the display go out? 

• YES 

  OKAY:  Troubleshooting has been completed.

• NO 

  Refer to Check, connectors and cables
