If display indicates IND. ACTIVE = ON, go to next step. If display does not indicate IND. ACTIVE = ON, change status to ON and recheck system operation.
  2. Use scan tool activation function to activate turn signal lamps. If turn signal lamps illuminate when activated, system is operating properly. If turn signal lamps do not illuminate when activated, go to next step.
  3. Disconnect VGLA control module connectors. Check VGLA connectors for loose or corroded terminals. Repair as necessary. Reconnect VGLA control module. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Use scan tool activation function to activate turn signal lamps. If turn signal lamps illuminate when activated, symptom has been repaired. If turn signal lamps do not illuminate when activated, go to next step.
  4. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect VGLA control module. Connect fused jumper between VGLA connector terminals A12 (Green wire) and A26 (Red/Black wire). See Figure. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . The left turn signal lamp should come on. Connect fused jumper between VGLA connector terminals A13 (Blue/Green wire) and A26 (Red/Black wire). See WIRING DIAGRAMS . The right turn signal lamp should illuminate. If right turn signal illuminates, go to step  6. If right turn signal does not illuminate, go to next step.
  5. Check for open in the following circuits. See Figure. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
    • Blue/Green wire between VGLA control module connector terminal A13 and right side turn signals.
    • Green wire between VGLA control module connector terminal A12 and left side turn signals.

Repair as necessary. Recheck system operation.

  6. Replace VGLA control module. See VGLA CONTROL MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Go to next step.
  7. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Reconnect all disconnected components. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Use scan tool activation function to activate turn signal lamps. If turn signal lamps illuminate when activated, symptom has been repaired. If turn signal lamps do not illuminate when activated, fault is still present.
