Removing cover

Remove glove compartment holders.
Remove the six screws holding the glove compartment and remove the glove compartment.

If a passenger-side airbag is fitted, remove the 4 mounting screws from the underneath of the module.

Remove cover washers and screws to side defroster vents.
Remove panel vents as follows: turn down and pull out or pry off gently with a screwdriver at the side and pull out. Remove both vent and air duct on RH side.

Remove speaker grills on both sides.
Remove speakers. Push plastic plugs down in center.
Undo connector.

Unscrew the 12 mounting screws holding the cover panel. Cars fitted with passenger-side airbags have a screw missing at the top of the glove compartment. Cars not fitted with passenger-side airbags have a screw missing at the top by the RH speaker (marked 2 in figure).
Lift cover panel off carefully.

Once you have removed the cover panel, you can connect the test box and use it for fault-tracing with the dashboard.
