Idle Speed
Engine idle speed is controlled by the ECU depending upon engine operating conditions. The ECU senses engine operating conditions and determines the best idle speed. Idle speed is controlled by varying the air passage inside the idle valve.
Idle Valve -- The idle valve uses a solenoid or motor to control bypass air. Signal from the ECU determines idle speed by controlling amount of by-pass air.
