Throttle Switch

  1. Turn ignition switch to the "OFF" position. Disconnect throttle switch connector. On all models except 740 Turbo, 740 GL, 760 Turbo and 760 GLE, connect ohmmeter between throttle switch Yellow/White wire terminal and center terminal.
  2. On 740 Turbo, 740 GL, 760 Turbo, and 760 GLE, connect ohmmeter between throttle switch Orange wire terminal and center terminal (ground).
  3. On all models, ohmmeter should indicate continuity. Depress accelerator pedal to open throttle switch.
  4. Ohmmeter should now read infinite (continuity) when throttle switch is open. If throttle switch does not function as described, replace switch.
