Self-Diagnostic System

All models are equipped with self-diagnostic systems. A "CHECK ENGINE", malfunction indicator light, illuminates to signl driver of stored fault codes. On 240 DL, 240 GL, 740 GL and 740 GLE models, fault codes are retrieved through an integral diagnostic unit equipped with an LED indicator. On 740 Turbo, 760 Turbo and 760 GLE models, fault codes are retrieved by connecting a LED test light to a test connector. For more information, see SELF-DIAGNOSTICS article.
