Engine Oiling System: Notes

The chain driven, gear-type oil pump supplies pressurized lubrication from the oil filter to drilled gallery in cylinder block and to the main bearings. Main bearings are drilled to pass oil to connecting rod, camshaft, and valve train components. Oil cooler is mounted between oil filter and cylinder block.
