Abs Repair Precautions

The following are precautions to observe when performing repair operations outside of ABS unit.

• DO NOT disconnect battery or electronic components with ignition switch in the "ON" position.
• Disconnect ECU connector when welding with an arch welder.
• When painting a vehicle, NEVER subject electronic control unit to temperatures above 180°F (82°C).
• Disconnect battery before charging with a fast charger. DO NOT use a fast charger to start engine.
